Class descriptions

CORE BODY SCULPT: Enhance your body shape & look great this summer. This is a full-body integrated resistance training class incorporating balance balls free weights & resistance band exercises with Pilates (see below) to develop, tone  & strengthen every group of muscles with an emphasis on the core area. Ideal for all fitness level. 



WALK & TONE: Walking program with goals to improve physical fitness, body condition & general health. Enjoy training outdoors in the morning sun. This class will begin with an hour-long power-walk followed by a toning workout in the studio concentrating on the tums, bums & thighs area. You will improve muscle tone while still obtaining the cardiovascular workout needed to loose weight. Program includes a pre and post fitness assessment. Each participant will receive a heart rate monitor to maintain target heart rate zones while training.

BOXERCISE: Develop your muscular strength, endurance & agility in this circuit-based class. Using non-contact boxing moves & training methods this class focuses on building reflexes, co-ordination, speed & power. With the aide of music the workout promises to be fun, energetic & addictive while increasing over-all fitness & body conditioning. Ideal for all fitness levels.

TUMS, BUMS & THIGHS:
Turn your troublesome area into a new temple! This mat based class uses low impact non-aerobic exercises to tone & sculpt the body. With the emphasis on the abdominal, gluteal & leg muscles the results will make you look & feel more toned. 

STEP ‘N’ SCULPT: Give yourself an ultimate high-energy carodioblast & condition your entire body! This class begins with a high intensity aerobic workout to music using simple moves & few combinations on & off the adjustable step. Which is followed by 20 minutes of muscle toning & shaping, targeting major muscle groups. Ideal for beginners.

STEP ‘N’ PUMP: Get your heart thumping, muscles pumping & legs jumping! This rapid fat-burning class guarantees to build cardiovascular endurance & build muscular strength with an aerobic workout to music on & off the step followed by a 20 minute hard-core toning using weights. Are you up for the challenge?! Ideal for improvers.

SPIN: Enhance cardiovascular fitness, muscle tone & exercise endurance! Burn 100’s of calories in this heart pounding yet low impact workout. Through a series of cycling movements to music that begs your legs to pedal, this class simulates flat & hill terrains on a stationary bicycle while allowing you to work at your own pace. Spin is a highly motivated intense class guaranteed to provide both a physical & mental workout. Ideal for all fitness levels. Master Spin is ideal for improvers.

PILATES: Strengthen your body from the inside out! Pilates is a slow & controlled form of exercise focusing on improving posture, muscle strength & flexibility. ANTI-NATAL PILATES: Perfect preparation for labour & delivery. Providing gentle exercise for mums-to-be. A mind/body method of exercise that strengthens the most important muscles you’ll use during pregnancy & labour. Using the Pilates method, dynamic movements help to build muscular endurance, flexibility & good balance, all beneficial for reducing pregnancy discomforts such as backache. This class will also allow to help fight fatigue, swelling & unnecessary weight gain. Ideal for all fitness levels, from 3 months into pregnancy onwards.

Gentle stretches & poses develop strength & readiness for giving birth as well as improving your current physical health. POST-NATAL YOGA: Congratulations, you’re a new mother! This class offers yoga postures & simple breathing exercises to stretch, realign, strengthen & rejuvenate your mind & body. Allows you to gently regain physical strength & tone muscles, concentrating on the pelvic-floor, back and abdomen. The classes are suitable for complete newcomers to yoga or those more experienced.  Also gentle enough for those recovering from Caesarean.
