Step ‘n’ Sculpt/Pump
These classes combine the aerobic exercise of a step work-out to improve cardiovascular fitness & loose weight with the toning & strengthening of muscle conditioning to sculpt & shape the body.
Both classes begin with a 40 min aerobic step work-out to upbeat music using an adjustable step. This is followed by a 20min non-aerobic work-out. Sculpt is done on a mat and resistance exercises are used to tone the body. Pump is a muscle toning class but involves resistance exercises with weights for the more advanced.
Step is a class that can challenge the fit class member but is easy to follow for the beginner. The reason is in its simplicity.
It is a pre-choreographed work-out that takes a fresh approach to the well-established Step class. The emphasis is on Fitness not Flashiness. The result is a Step class that works for everybody.
Sculpt body toning, which includes a variety of different types of exercises, is a catchall term meaning "muscle conditioning" with results including defined muscles that are firm to the touch. If you are interested in improving muscular endurance or strength, you can do a variety of exercises using resistance against gravity to achieve your goals.
Exercise is a part of any healthy lifestyle and almost anyone can consider a toning regimen. But even if you aren't a fitness fanatic, you may want to start your new routine with some muscle toning exercises.
If you are in good shape and exercise several times a week, toning can help you achieve a chiseled muscle appearance. If you aren't in tip-top shape, toning exercise can start to tackle your spare tire or love handles.
